The McGill Journal of Middle East Studies is now publishing shorter analytical essays related to the modern Middle East in this blog space. We are extremely excited to showcase new ideas and approaches to the study of the modern Middle East and welcome submissions on a rolling basis!
About the Journal:
The McGill Journal of Middle East Studies is published annually by the McGill Middle East Studies Students’ Association, with board members from Middle East Studies, Islamic Studies, Political Science, Economics, Anthropology, History, Jewish Studies and other disciplines. The journal aims to publish new academic scholarship on the modern Middle East broadly understood, with a particular focus on the region’s politics and a particular interest in multi and interdisciplinary approaches. Contributors come from McGill University and beyond, primarily graduate and undergraduate students.
Contributions are welcome throughout the school year and should be submitted to the journal editorial board: firstname.lastname@example.org. Articles should focus on the modern Middle East, should be at least 10 pages in length, have a minimum grade of A-, and written in either English, Arabic or French.
